About
MY BACKGROUND
Considering myself to be a jack of all trades, my work has taken me across the country. Whether it be on a pit crew in Daytona or Monterey, putting an engine in a 1920's Indy Car or 60's Porsche, in a board room pitching advertising services, prepping material for clients, or occasionally selling cars for friends, it's safe to say I feel comfortable doing it. I understand the value of being useful, and how to add value to whatever it is I'm working on. I want my work to affect the bottom line, and improve the quality of life for those around me.

Current Reading
On China By Henry Kissinger
My fascination with 1970’s American politics has led me to read books by Bob Woodward & Carl Bernstein, John Dean, and Alexander Butterfield. A recurring character, who shows up in all pertinent readings of the era, is Henry Kissinger, Secretary of State to President Richard Nixon. Kissinger’s book “On China” provides a detailed account of China’s history and cultural development by the man who has done more diplomatic work in China than any other Westerner. Kissinger goes into great detail to exam China’s past of isolationism, its response to Western cultures, ie. Macartney’s attempt to set up a British embassy in Beijing, and China’s remarkable ability to remain distinctly Chinese while under conquest by numerous “barbarian” tribes. Now one of the world’s premier economies, it is doubly important to understand the history and culture of China in order to due business with them, and to understand the actions they have taken in recent years regarding expansion into the South China Sea or actions taken by them in Tibet.
